Taking to Twitter, the filmmaker disclosed an interesting observation shared by a wedding planner who pointed out that couples nowadays get married primarily to capture extravagant photographs and showcase their wedding extravaganza. Agreeing with this perspective, Agnihotri tweeted about an incident he witnessed during a destination wedding where the bride fainted upon learning that the wedding photographer would be late.

As expected, Agnihotri's tweet sparked a significant buzz on Twitter, eliciting a multitude of contrasting opinions. One Twitter user concurred, sadly acknowledging the truth behind this trend, which seems to have permeated both urban and rural areas. Another user chimed in, acknowledging the authenticity and cultural significance of weddings like Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's, while lamenting the surge in fake moments being captured solely for social media display. To make matters worse, ordinary people are now imitating this behavior, exacerbating the situation.

Nevertheless, not everyone shared Agnihotri's viewpoint. One user dismissed the notion that couples are solely getting married for showmanship, considering it a laughable exaggeration from the perspective of an overzealous wedding photographer.

Coincidentally, Agnihotri's tweet coincided with the timing of Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha's engagement photos release. Over the weekend, the Bollywood actress and the Aam Aadmi Party leader exchanged rings, officially announcing their engagement. Shortly afterward, they delightedly shared photos from their engagement ceremony, solidifying their relationship status.
